The Maestra extra virgin olive oil is produced mainly from the varieties farga, reguers, villalonga and picual although there are many more. The Farga variety was introduced by the Romans and has been the most cultivated of the Maestrat for centuries. In fact, it is the variety of all the millenary old olive trees of the Maestrat. The oil of the Maestrat is powerful in the mouth. Depending on the dominant variety it can be fruity, with green tones, and flavors between sweet, bitter and spicy. Our seasoning is a slow process that maintains the entire personality of the oil, while incorporating the taste of herbs. Although it is an oil resistant to go rancid, it is advisable to keep it in the darkness and away from heat sources.
